Janis Castaldi
Village Trustee
Janis has lived in Ossining for six years. She is the owner of a local fitness business herein Ossining, LizzFitness, and also currently works for the Atria in Ossining as a life coach and wellness advisor, in addition to being.
Janis was elected to the Village Board in 2008 and quickly took an active interest in supporting Downtown development and revitalizing local businesses and coordinated the Village’s efforts to become a “greener” community. Janis is an independent thinker and consensus builder on the board. She serves as Liaison with the Ossining business community and Chamber of Commerce, and took an active role in implementing the Village’s Comprehensive Plan. Janis also has pushed for consolidation and coordination of shared services with other local municipalities to reduce our tax burden while making sure we continue to keep the quality of village services at a level our residents deserve.
Janis is married to her Life Partner, Liz Endrich. She is a Member of the Board of The Ossining Children’s Center, a contributor and supporter of Ossining Matters, and an associate member of the Senate Hook and Ladder 41 of the Ossining Fire department.
